Mumbai International Tourism Expo 2010


Travel and tourism is one of the largest industries in the world and India has emerged as a key global travel and tourism hub. In light of the developments and the various changes in this dynamic industry, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) in association with Conference and Exhibition Management Services Pvt Ltd (CEMS) brings a first-of-its-kind international travel and tourism event – Mumbai International Tourism Expo (MITE) 2010.

To be held at the Bombay Exhibition Center from January 7 to 9, 2010, MITE 2010 aims at providing an integrated business platform for local and international participants to showcase their products and services while creating an opportunity for them to meet the top decision makers of the industry.

Talking about the plans for MITE 2010 Mr. Edward Liu, Managing Director, CEMS said, “The world is watching on how India is fast becoming the most attractive emerging market in the world. Through MITE 2010 we will explore a number of targeted influential segments to maximize and draw in the interests of local and international buyers and sellers for tourism-related business and activities, during the event."

Mr. Pradip Lulla, President, Travel Agents Federation of India said “The Mumbai International Tourism Expo 2010 is a first of its kind initiative planned by CEMS on such a large scale in Mumbai. This event will be instrumental in providing an interactive platform for the exchange of knowledge and promotion of ideas, trends and opportunities. I see tremendous value in the expo and encourage members to wholeheartedly support MITE 2010 with their participation.”

The key supporting associations for the first ever MITE 2010 are: Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI), India Association of Tour Operators, The Asia federation of Exhibition and Convention Associations, Association of Korea Exhibition Industry, Indonesia Congress and Convention Association, Korea Convention Association, Macau Convention and Exhibition Association, Thai Exhibition Association amongst others.
